We at Bob Dickman Tire Center have been offering the advantages of Tire Pressure Monitoring for RV owners since 1998 using the SmarTire™ TPMS products. In December of 2008 the Bendix ™ Company bought SmarTire™ Systems to obtain the technology and resources for their Bendix CVS division. Bendix™ continued to make available to us the SmarTire™ RV system until now. Bendix™ is now discontinuing the SmarTire™ RV line and currently has no plans to pursue the RV TPMS market. They are focusing on commercial vehicle systems (CVS).

That is the “bad news”. The good news is that Bendix has told us that the wheel sensors will continue to be available for service replacements as they are the same type used in the Bendix™ CVS platform. Furthermore we have obtained a supply of service replacement parts so we should be able to service our customer’s systems for some time to come.

More good news is that we will be able to continue to provide Tire Pressure monitoring for our RV customers needs using the Pressure Pro ™ and Tire-Safeguard™ products.

We are also proud to introduce an additional new product for checking and maintaining tire pressure on Motorhome or Commercial Vehicles, DuallyValves™. Traditionally adding air to dually tires was difficult and required the use of specially designed air chucks and specially designed air gauges just to get to the valve stem. Not anymore! DuallyValves™ have extended the length of the inner dual valve to reach the outer dual thus making it easy to add air.

Service replacement parts available for SmarTire RV, call with your needs! Wheel sensors will continue to be available for service replacements. Furthermore we have obtained a supply of service replacement parts so we should be able to service our customer’s systems for some time to come.
